With nearly 50 years of professional experience, Mr. Shultz has been the owner of Lucky Shultz and Associates since 2003. In addition to his primary role, he served as chief of staff for Alaska State Senator Fred Dyson from 2007 to 2009, having been his financial aide since 2004. Prior to establishing his own firm, he was president of IGC Associates, Inc., in 2003, and he was the owner of Entrepreneurs Source from 2002 to 2003 and Pathways to Leadership from 1999 to 2003.

From 1997 to 2000, Mr. Shultz was a support division manager and internal consultant with Natchiq, Inc., and from 1994 to 1997, he was a manager of contracts and an internal consultant with Alaska Petroleum Contractors. He previously served as an internal consultant with BP Exploration from 1992 to 1993, having been a purchasing manager and contracts supervisor with the company since 1981. Earlier in his career, he served with the United States Air Force from 1966 to 1981. He holds a Bachelor of Science from the US Air Force Academy and a Master of Science from Air University.

A respected voice in his areas of interest, Mr. Shultz has been affiliated with a number of organizations in his community. A public speaker and personal development teacher and coach, he has served as a commercial pilot and a musician, and he is a former adjunct professor for the University of Alaska. He was an education coordinator of Business Network International. He is the former director of the board of elders of Bethany Christian Community, and he was the vice-chair of the board of directors for Family Connection, Inc.

Throughout his career, Mr. Shultz has been recognized for his contributions, including having been named to the Herculaneum High School Hall of Fame. The recipient of the Silver Medal for Oratory from the Buckley School of Public Speaking, he was nominated as Air Force Systems Command Officer of the Year and he was a United States Junior Chamber Outstanding Young Man of the Year. He has been featured in numerous honors publications, including multiple editions of Who’s Who in Finance and Business, Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in the West, and Who’s Who in the World.
