Tony Curro, Owner at Tru-Fit Custom Clubs, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Business Owners for dedication, achievements, and leadership in golf.
A graduate of the State University of New York, Cortland, Mr. Curro earned a Bachelor of Science in physical education in 1980. Soon thereafter, he received a Master of Science in health education from The Sage Colleges in 1984. He concluded his academic efforts with a Master of Science in educational administration from the College of Saint Rose in 2004. Mr. Curro also became a certified Class A Clubmaker through the International Clubmakers Guild.
In addition to being a golfer for more than 25 years, Mr. Curro served as a school teacher for 26 years. Furthermore, he was the head basketball coach at Water Viliet High School and excelled as an assistant basketball coach at Siena College from 1994 to 2003. Since 2004, he has flourished as the owner of Tru-Fit Custom Clubfitters. a New York-based golf club manufacturer. In lieu of his company’s accomplishments, Mr. Curro was selected as the North American Clubmaker of the Year by the International Clubmakers Guild, which was later accepted at the 2018 PGA Show in Orlando. Mr. Curro attributes his success to being a professional. He demands a lot from himself and truly believes that he was blessed with great parents that taught him a great work ethic. He is constantly learning new things and coupled with the demands he puts on himself, he developed a strong and positive reputation. In the coming years, Mr. Curro hopes to continue the work that he is doing and would also like to be among the elite fitters in the country.
