William Babbel, Retired Owner at GJ Yamas, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Business Owners for dedication, achievements, and leadership in building automation.
Prior to the start of his career, Mr. Babbel served in the United States Air Force between 1961 and 1965. During his service, he contributed to two tours in Vietnam and later returned to the United States. Inspired by his father, an inventor, he was employed by GJ Yamas Building Automation in 1976 and was promoted to service manager in 1980. He further purchased stock in the company and eventually was considered a co-owner of GJ Yamas.
While serving as co-owner of the aforementioned company, Mr. Babbel was responsible for building automation and temperature controls. Specific focus areas included heating, cooling, auto recall, alarm services. After 17 years, he retired from the company. In the past, Mr. Babbel obtained a teaching certificate in 1984 and has provided his extensive knowledge to others as a college professor in San Jose, California for six years.
An active member of his community, Mr. Babbel proudly contributes to veterans. For his accomplishments in the field, he was presented with the Civic Achievement Award from the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Montrose County Civic Achievement Award. Looking toward the future, Mr. Babbel intends to experience the continued growth and success of his career.
