Title: Founder and Chef
Location: Miami, Florida, United States
Ola Amro Kayal, Founder and Chef at Nabati, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Business Owners for dedication, achievements, and leadership in business management and culinary arts.
As the founder and head chef at Nabati, a raw vegan ice cream shop in Wynwood, Florida, Ms. Kayal became familiarized with the culinary arts from a very young age. While enrolled at the Culinary Arts Academy, from whom she earned a Bachelor of Arts in culinary arts in 2016, she devised the concept of her raw vegan ice cream shop while studying for a class project. Hailing from that product was a new vegan ice cream base, a novel innovation that Ms. Kayal utilized as a foundation to describe to others chefs the meaning of veganism.
To supplement her culinary practice, Ms. Kayal interned at Clinique La Prairie in Switzerland and the Frantzen Group in Sweden. She additionally served as a demi chef de partie at Grain Store. From 2017 to 2018, she was active as a junior sous chef at Farmacy in London. Upon traveling to Miami, Florida, on vacation, she decided to relocate her shop after coming upon the realization that there were no fully plant-based shops in the city. At Nabati, she expresses her passion for reducing waste in the environment, and she operates the shop as a plastic-free establishment. Looking toward the future, Ms. Kayal intends to expand her brand to include ready-to-eat ice cream and frozen foods.
