Title: Owner, Session Stylist
Company: Salon Bianco
Location: Providence, Rhode Island, United States
Betha Wood, Owner and Session Stylist at Salon Bianco, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Business Owners for dedication, achievements, and leadership in cosmetology.
Ms. Wood is the distinguished owner and session stylist of Salon Bianco located in Providence, Rhode Island, which she has excelled in since spearheading her business in 2007. With her salon, she has received recognition from major beauty organizations such as Modern Salon Magazine, the Professional Beauty Association’s “Beacon” and the American Salon Magazine. She and her stylists are trained in diverse backgrounds such as precision hair cutting, men’s styling, keratin straightening, chemical relaxing, hair extensions and award-winning color services. Additionally, Ms. Wood works backstage at fashion weeks worldwide through her second business endeavor, Betha Haircraft. In this respect, she specializes in runway, editorial and bridal looks, contributing to StyleWeek Northeast and New York Fashion Week.
Unsure by what path she wished to pursue in her formative years, Ms. Wood went back to the basics and examined what she truly enjoyed. She had always loved to do her makeup and nails and the dean of the beauty school she attended recommended she complete the cosmetology program in order to be fully well rounded in the beauty industry. Having gained nearly 15 years of professional experience, Ms. Wood continues to work and live by her mission statement, which is “to seek joy in everything and share that feeling with as many people as possible.” In five years’ time, she hopes to continue working in more fashion weeks, such as “Green Fashion.” She is currently involved with Gwand, a sustainable fashion week, and hopes to resume work with them in Paris, France following the end of the 2020 Covid-19 pandemic.
