Michael Burke, President at Denino’s Franchising, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Business Owners for dedication, achievements, and leadership in business operations.
Since his youth, Mr. Burke would help in small family-owned businesses, which soon became his home away from home. Backed by a Bachelor of Science in marketing and management from Wagner College from 1996, he spearheaded his professional career as a firefighter with the New York City Fire Department from 1999 to 2010. After more than 10 years of saving lives throughout New York City, he desired to go back to his roots in the business world. Today, Mr. Burke serves as the owner of Denino’s Pizzeria & Tavern, the owner of Denino’s South since 2010, the president of Denino’s Franchising since 2015 and the owner of Denino’s Manahawkin since 2018. In these capacities, he deals with various components of business operations and administration, including ordering, billing, staffing, payroll, and more.
Looking back on his illustrious career, Mr. Burke’s most notable career highlight was being named to the Pizza Hall of Fame in 2015, as well as making the top three in New York for the last 20 years. Additionally, from his firefighting years, he was most proud to have saved the life of a baby who was choking. Mr. Burke attributes his years of success to hard work, never giving up and getting through the work grind. Looking ahead, he hopes for his children to attend college or take over one of his businesses, as well as to continue growing and expanding his businesses to other regions. Outside of his primary endeavors, Mr. Burke has been a founding member of Statenstrong since 2012 and an event co-chair for St. Jude’s Kids for Kids since 2015. He lives and works by his motto, “If you work hard, there is nobody who can stop you.”
