Wut Eick, Owner at Bay View Thai Kitchen (Namyen LLC), has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Business Owners for dedication, achievements, and leadership in the food industry.
With an Associate of Arts from the Western Culinary Institute, Mr. Eick began his career in the hospitality industry. He worked in restaurant hospitality for more than 15 years starting from the bottom as a dishwasher, moving his way up to the chef. Looking for a strong and sustainable hospitality service business, he got a job at a nearby hospital. That opened up a new world for Mr. Eick, not only focusing on the food aspect but also the customer service component of hospitality. In addition, he was able to do all kinds of different jobs on demand. When his wife and friend wanted to open a Thai restaurant, it gave him a new challenge that was different from everything else he had already done in the industry. Four years ago, he took the leap and left the hospital to start his own entrepreneurial journey. Since 2018, he has been the owner and overhead operation manager of the Bay View Thai Kitchen (Namyen LLC).
Mr. Eick’s most notable achievement was building amazing relationships in the community. The restaurant has been highly recognized by the U.S. Coast Guard for the service they provided, along with the wonderful food. Notably, they would feed the members of the Coast Guard even when the restaurant was closed. Mr. Eick’s long-term goal is to be recognized as the best Thai restaurant on the west coast. He also wants to move into a more senior role to help more people, as he hopes people see him as a new vision and mentor. As a testament to his success, Bay View Thai Kitchen was recently recognized for its outstanding service to the local community in 2019. Looking ahead, Mr. Eick hopes to receive more distinguishable honors and serve as a favorite food location in his local community and beyond.
