Location: St Augustine, Florida, United States
Johnny Albritton, Jr., Owner at The Specialist Appliances, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Business Owners for dedication, achievements, and leadership in appliance service and repair.
For over 40 years, Mr. Albritton has provided commercial and residential clients with high-quality repairs and service on major appliances, washing machines and dryers, air conditioning, and refrigerators. Mr. Albritton graduated high school with a full-ride scholarship to a college in Tennessee, but decided to spend a year studying a trade as a backup plan before attending. At the suggestion of his father, a commercial cooling and refrigeration technician, Mr. Albritton studied refrigeration at the Lincoln Technical Institute in New Jersey. To his surprise, he found the trade deeply rewarding, and opted not to attend college.
In 1974, Mr. Albritton established The Specialist Appliances, serving the Jacksonville, Florida metro area. He is proud to have become a reliable fixture in his clients’ lives over the last four decades, and attributes his success to word of mouth, the ability to learn from others, and an emphasis on providing a quality result every time. He has developed a prototype device allowing the replacement of a hot water heating element without draining the tank, and is the author of “All About Life,” 2009, a spiritually-inspired book of poetry. Mr. Albritton advises others considering commercial appliance repair to make sure they enter the industry for the right reasons, and that a love for the work is the only way to ensure longevity in the field. In the coming years, Mr. Albritton looks forward to beginning his transition into retirement, and hopes to devote more of his time to writing and nature photography.
