In his formative years, Mr. Worley entered the mining industry in an effort to accrue funding for his academic endeavors. After working in the mining and coal fields for several years, he entered his profession as the president and owner of Imperial Leasing Corporation in 1975, roles he held for the following five years. Subsequently, he served in the same positions for Underground Energy Corporation, Dome Co Company and Mining Enterprises between 1975 and 1980. Joining Baylor Mining and Cobra Equipment and Falcon Machinery in 1991, he has flourished as the president and owner of Baylor Holdings Inc. since 2005. Although his career has been filled with highlights, Mr. Worley is especially proud of employing dozens of individuals in his profession over the course of 40 years.
Alongside his professional endeavors, Mr. Worley contributes his time and expertise to his community at his local elementary school, for which he has planned Christmas parties with gifts for students for 25 years. To remain aware of developments in the field, he maintains his affiliation with the West Virginia Coal Association, for which he has participated on the board of directors since 2008. Mr. Worley has also served on the advisory board of the Beckley Appalachian Regional Hospital since 2015.
Attributing his success to the support and encouragement of his father, Mr. Worley has been presented with several accolades throughout his career. In light of his business acumen, he has also conducted various speeches at coal conferences and seminars. Married to his wife, Mary Ann, since 1969, he is the proud father of two daughters, Erika and Stacy, and has been happy to welcome five grandchildren into his family, Bryson, Annelyse, Scarlett, Avery and Kellan. Looking toward the future, Mr. Worley intends to experience the continued growth and success of his career, as well as further supporting the West Virginia Coal Association.
