Inspired to join the family business from a young age, Mr. Espy has served as the owner of Espy’s Carpet Care Clinic in San Francisco since 1996. Having originally joined as a partner in 1994, his father spearheaded the business in 1962, making them a community staple for 58 years. Offering deep clean, residential and commercial services, Espy’s Carpet Care Clinic uses eco-safe steam extraction and non-toxic products to eliminate stains, odors, mold, allergens, bed bugs, dust mites and pet dander from carpets, rugs, upholstery, mattresses, air ducts, dryer vents and all flooring surfaces. Mr. Espy prides himself on providing clients with the highest professionalism and skill, which has led him to receive an A+ rating from the Better Business Bureau. Notably, he and his company have received a Best Service Award for 25 years, Customer Satisfaction Awards in 2012 and 2013 and was named Staff of the Year in 2015.
Mr. Espy attributes his success to a family business that he is incredibly proud of and being lucky enough to have found his purpose. His personal mission has always been to hire and train the youth in order to help develop their work ethics and lead them to become business owners. Presently, Mr. Espy maintains affiliation with the Better Business Bureau, Carpet Cleaner’s Institute, Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification, Certified Master Cleaners and Certified DuPont Cleaners. Upon his civic duties, he is an active member of the Family House and is a speaker at breast cancer awareness events. Mr. Espy received a Bachelor of Arts from San Francisco State University in 1996 and a Master of Arts in education from Saint Paul Seminary in 2005. He spent the earlier portion of his career working for the San Francisco Unified School District. In five years’ time, he hopes to manufacture his father’s products, which was his lifelong dream.
