Richard E Shaw, as known as Rich E. Shaw, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who in America Top Business Owners for his dedication, achievements, and leadership in education and entrepreneurship.
Hailing from a family of entrepreneurs, Mr. Shaw aspired to achieve similar success in his own right. Today, he owns and operates RESCORP Properties, LLC, which markets, sells and promotes creative inventions, innovations, books and real estate property. Before this, he was the owner, founder, president and CFO of Rich Publishing House.
Holding 12 U. S. patents, Mr. Shaw invented “the Credit and Debit Receiving and Dispensing Device,” a vending machine system, that allows users to utilize credit and debit card payment instead of only cash. Considered one of the most talented thinkers and creative writers of the new millennium, he was inducted into the Hall of Fame of American Inventors and received two prestigious industrial design excellence awards from the Industrial Design Society of America. Mr. Shaw is also an acclaimed author of numerous works, including; “Habits of the Highly Effective Entrepreneur®, FRENEMIES®, PASSIONAIRE®, Trapped Behind an Opened Door®” and “HIDDEN TREASURE®.”
Mr. Shaw excelled in the educational sector as principal of Clay Academy in 2008 and 2009, assistant principal and academic coordinator for Paul Quinn College from 2005 to 2007, an English teacher. In the public sector, he served as commissioner of the Planning Development and Zoning Commission of Duncanville, Texas.
After taking courses in religion, philosophy and business administration at Bishop College, Mr. Shaw received an Associate of Science degree from Dallas College at El Centro College campus and a bachelor’s in mechanical engineering from Louisiana State University. He then received a Bachelor of Science in secondary education in English and history from Paul Quinn College and a master’s degree in educational supervision and administration from Prairie View A&M University.
Looking ahead, Mr. Shaw would like to pursue public service. He will continue to write, invent, write scripts and produce movies while championing the next generation of leaders through his work with the Mae Shaw Foundation, which helps single mothers and mentors teens.
