Deborah Cerankowski, Owner at Debbie’s Health Foods, Inc., has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Business Owners for dedication, achievements, and leadership in the healthy food industry.
Upon falling ill with brain tumors, Ms. Cerankowski and her husband, who was also sick, could not find the proper help they were looking for in the medical industry. Interestingly enough, the health food stores were helping but the medicine was not helping. Due to this, she decided to spearhead her own business that could help people through healthy products rather than prescribed medicine. For the past 32 years, since 1988, she has been the owner of Debbie’s Health Foods, Inc., which has been honored as Best Health Food Store by Hometown News. Ms. Cerankowski attributes her success to people learning what their bodies need and seeking help. She recalls her most notable achievement was helping a woman who had cancer when doctors gave up on her.
Notably, for nearly 20 years, Ms. Cerankowski sat on the board for SOHO, a lobbyist organization in Washington D.C. that fights for various societal issues. Specifically, she contributed to lobbying for changing public school lunches to having more healthy options. In addition to her civic duties, Ms. Cerankowski worked with a real estate firm helping to build homes for underprivileged people. The next home she will be helping to build will be a safe house for pets. Previously, they held Christmas for veteran’s families and families in different business, as well as for families in their towns. As a testament to her success, Ms. Cerankowski received a Certificate of Appreciation from the Association of Realtors and Certificate of Achievement from Europharma.
