Company: Tri-Force MMA
Location: Coventry, Rhode Island, United States
Peter Jeffrey, Owner at Tri-Force MMA, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Business Owners for dedication, achievements, and leadership in mixed martial arts.
Having played sports throughout his upbringing, Mr. Jeffrey began to miss the physical activity of being an athlete after his undergraduate graduation. His brother then introduced him to jujitsu, which immediately piqued his interest. Spearheading his new career path, Mr. Jeffrey was a mixed martial artist of Black Belt Brazilian Ju-Jitsu student under Tim Burrill and Carlos Machado from 2005 to 2012. Notably, in 2009, he opened Tri-Force MMA in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, where he offers dedicated classes to all aspects of MMA including Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Muay Thai and boxing for adults and kids. He also holds the position of head coach of Brown University’s Mixed Martial Arts Team (GAMMA). Renowned for his skill and teaching abilities, Mr. Jeffrey was named Coach of the Year by CES MMA in 2012.
Mr. Jeffrey attributes his career success to his father for teaching him a great deal about how to be prepared for anything he took on. He also taught him how to conduct himself in a professional manner, maintain good relationships and be truthful. In addition, Mr. Jeffrey also thanks his mentor, James Seabra, who was pivotal in his high school years all the way through college. A member of the Master Machado Organization, he aims to spearhead an additional training facility in five years’ time. He would also like to help build the careers of talented MMA fighters and offer them a place to train, as well as inspire and teach students. Prior to his MMA career, Mr. Jeffrey received a Bachelor of Fine Art in jazz and classical from the University of Rhode Island in 2001. With this sentiment, he was a professional musician from 1994 to 2012, from the ages of 17 to 35.
