Branden Slichter, Owner at PorkChop & Bubba’s BBQ, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Business Owners for dedication, achievements, and leadership in entrepreneurship.
In his formative years, Mr. Slichter would often attend Sunday dinners in which his grandmother cooked meals for his family. Picking up several recipes from her, he decided to spearhead his own restaurant. In 2012, he established ParkChop & Bubba’s BBQ in Bakersfield, California, in which he oversees all day-to-day operations, manages the restaurant, and provides cooking and catering services. Drawing upon a Bachelor of Arts in the culinary arts from Bakersfield College, he has maintained affiliation with the Kansas City BBQ Society and the California BBQ Association.
Prior to delving into the restaurant industry, Mr. Slichter was a professional welder between 1996 and 2012. He attributes his success to the hard work, diligence and dedication of his staff, who have provided the foundation of the success that his restaurant experiences. Named among the Top 100 Restaurants by Yelp in 2020, PorkChop & Bubba’s BBQ intends to witness continued growth and success in the coming years. Ultimately, Mr. Slichter would like to open a second location and continue taking care of his family, including his three daughters: Mallory, Madison and Kegan.
