Company: Farm Branded Furnishings
Location: Larchwood, Iowa, United States
Benji Moser, Owner at Farm Branded Furnishings, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Business Owners for dedication, achievements, and leadership in the furniture industry.
Skilled in the art of building custom furnishings, Mr. Moser is noted for his adept ability to fashion beautiful pieces of furniture from high-quality hardwoods like maple, ash and walnut, but also reclaimed barn wood. Since 2017, he has distinguished himself as the owner of Farm Branded Furnishings, a provider of unique rustic and modern styled furniture that he sells to residents in South Dakota and Minnesota, and Iowa as well as a few states further away. Working out of a retired hog building at his family farm, which he manages alongside his brother, Mr. Moser has constructed well over 100 pieces of custom manufactured tables, end tables, signs, stools, headboards and miscellaneous décor. He also builds wedding backdrops and barn doors, which he rents to local customers.
Prior to his work with Farm Branded Furnishings, Mr. Moser held a career in construction from 2008 until 2017, and undertook higher academic coursework at Northwest Iowa Community College. After building a beautiful backdrop for the wedding of his sister in 2014, he fielded requests from various friends and family for him to build them high-quality custom furniture. After several years of indulging in this hobby, he decided to start his own business, which grew accordingly from word of mouth. Among his responsibilities, he corresponds with his clients and draws out the specifics regarding their desired piece of furniture, ranging from measurements to general style, including what type of wood to use. Though he has occasionally worked for consignments, Mr. Moser is proud to have established his own, independent company, of which he is the sole owner.
Presently, Mr. Moser remains active on his family farm, which has recently incorporated as a limited liability company, and he hopes to expand the scope of their operations. In accounting for his standout success, he credits the influence of his father, who taught both he and his brother the trade of farming. Likewise, he was inspired by his construction manager, under whom he worked for seven years, and a fellow contractor, who joined him on many home renovation projects. Looking toward the future, Mr. Moser aspires to possibly open a small storefront in town when the time is right, but until then, continue excelling at his craft, and hopefully continuing to grow the size of his business in the years to come.
