Distinguished for his expertise as the chief executive officer of BBy Inc. since 2016, Dr. Langer became involved in his profession from witnessing an overwhelming number of infants getting sick or dying of common infections due to lack of breast milk or lack of the production of breast milk in the mother. Today, he manages the business, science and technology aspects of BBy Inc., while also managing the neonatal milk banks and condensing the milk to make it shelf-stable so that hospitals can receive better outcomes and that families have better access to natural mother’s milk. Dr. Langer cites his most notable achievement as creating the world’s first shelf stabilized breast milk that can directly compete with infant formula.
Notably, Dr. Langer has been the recipient of numerous accolades, including being named One of the Impact Business Outstanding Entrepreneurs in Care of LGBTQ by Diversity and Action Magazine and featured in WE Magazine in 2019. In 2018, he was also featured in Entrepreneur Magazine, South Side Southwest and FCAN Scan Health Annual Meeting, Up and Coming Advance in Healthcare in Canada. He attributes his vast success to hard work and determination, along with a desire to help those who could not help themselves. Dr. Langer received a Bachelor of Science in biology from Siena College in 2011 and a Doctor of Medicine from Windsor University in 2015. In the early years of his career, he was a legislative associate with the American College of Physicians from 2007 to 2011 and a medical intern in psychiatry at the University of Chicago School of Medicine in 2016 and 2017.
