Rena Glazier Bransten, Owner at Rena Bransten Gallery, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Business Owners for dedication, achievements, and leadership in the creative arts.
Always possessing an interest in the arts, Ms. Bransten majored in art during her studies at Smith College, where she earned an undergraduate degree in 1954. Focusing on Western art, she soon became interested in contemporary art and sat on the boards of the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, the Oakland Art Museum and the Berkeley Art Museum. In light of her passion for all kinds of art, she decided to open her own gallery in 1974, titled the Rena Bransten Gallery. As the owner, she is renowned for displaying artists of color in contemporary styles, promoting their work and supporting the artists’ goals and ambitions. Her gallery has developed a premier reputation as a result of this endeavor.
Although her career has been filled with highlights, Ms. Bransten is especially proud of remaining in business and promoting the artists whose work is on display at her gallery. Although the museums have been closed due to the coronavirus pandemic, she still enjoys participating in the creative arts and notes the importance of supporting artists who are struggling to remain afloat in the artistic world. Looking toward the future, Ms. Bransten intends to experience the continued growth and success of her career, as well as visit more museums and delve more closely into her personal life, such as enjoying walking her dog and cultivating greenery in her garden. Ultimately, she looks forward to finding a way to recover a new level of normalcy amid COVID-19, and she looks forward to the re-establishment of the artistic realm in the forthcoming future.
