Tim Feemster, Chief Executive Officer, Managing Principal at Foremost Quality Logistics, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Business Owners for dedication, achievements, and leadership in logistics.
Mr. Feemster was a math major in college and did not want to be a teacher or an actuary in the insurance company. He went to graduate school right out of college and took a course in distribution causing a light to go off in his head. He knew he had a math background and it was a data-driven business acumen requirement so he decided that he wanted to do that when he got out of college and he has been in distribution ever since. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in mathematics from DePauw University in 1968. He then received a Master of Business Administration in marketing and operations research with distinction from the University of Michigan Ross School of Business in 1970.
Mr. Feemster’s most notable achievement was starting three distribution centers from scratch in 3.5 months. Also, in the early 1970’s he was part of a project team of Gershon Manufacturers of America along with McKenzie and Company to determine the UPC product code. Since 1992, he has been a chief executive officer and managing principal at Foremost Quality Logistics. He has also been the strategic partner of Barber Business Advisors, LLC since 2015. Previously, he has held the positions of senior managing director of global corporate services at Newmark Grubb Knight Frank from 2012 to 2013, president of WERC Board of Directors from 2009 to 2010 and senior vice president and director of Global Logistics & Supply Chain Consultancy of the Grubb & Ellis Company from 2007 to 2012. As a testament to his success, Mr. Feemster was named Dallas Top 500 CEO in 2019 and 2020 and DC Velocity Rainmaker in 2010.
