Richard J. Paek, CEO and Owner of Allied Lube Texas LP, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Business Owners for dedication, achievements, and leadership in automotive maintenance.
Since 1992, Mr. Paek has been the CEO and owner of Allied Lube Texas, LP, a Dallas-based chain of oil change and auto service shops. Ambitious and driven, Mr. Paek remembers being interested in building a business from scratch for as long as he could remember. Both of his parents were business owners, and Mr. Paek remembers learning to manage money from seeing the ebb and flow of their companies’ success. He studied business administration at the University of Southern California Marshall School of Business before taking over Allied Lube Texas, LP, explaining that he “never wanted to work for a major company, so he started his own instead of interviewing for someone else.”
Currently, Mr. Paek oversees operations at 113 Allied Lube Texas locations with over 1400 employees. His professional philosophy is that “if you aren’t moving forward, you’re going backwards,” and attributes his success to his ability to turn his goals and intentions into reality. Mr. Paek has been named Allied Lube Operator of the Year, and hopes to expand to own between 300 and 500 locations within five years. Outside his business, he is committed to community outreach on behalf of ALS research with Augie’s Quest, who presented him with a Founders Award in recognition of his work, and as president of YPL. In his leisure time, Mr. Paek enjoys travel and spending time with his family, and is passionate about sports and fitness of all kinds.
