Born and raised in India, Mr. Roy earned a Bachelor of Science in commerce from Calcutta University in 1996. During this time, he was the owner of a small hotel and found while managing the day-to-day operations of his hotel, he discovered that his greatest passion was working in the hotel’s kitchen. Though it initially began as a hobby for himself, he began to take notice that the food his clients received was not up to his standards as a budding chef. Thereafter, upon immigrating to the United States, he established an entirely vegan pizzeria he called Pizzeria Halt.
At Pizzeria Halt, Mr. Roy takes his own dietary restrictions into account while he aims to bridge the gap between his customers’ love for pizza and the need to maintain a vegan diet. In each pizza and dish he creates, he provides his customers with only the finest hand-selected ingredients and cooking methods. He is proud to maintain an extensive selection of plant-based appetizers, pizza, beverages and dips without compromising quality. Throughout his career, he has attributed his success to his love for his customers. Looking toward the future, he aims to continue operating his business and serving customers within the loving community that he has made his home while seeking to expand and franchise across the nation.
