Thomas Nowatzke, President and Owner of Nowatzke Truck and Trailer, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Business Owners for dedication, achievements, and leadership in automotive repair and athletics.

For over 50 years, Mr. Nowatzke has found success operating a full-service trailer and truck dealership which specializes in selling new and used equipment. He and his team of 10 mechanics buy, service, repair, lease and sell personal equipment on consignment. Inspired by trucking and transportation while in high school, he went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in business and commerce from Indiana University Bloomington in 1965. He began his career in sales with Clark Equipment Company in 1965 and has since found success as the founder and owner of Tom Nowatzke GMC Truck, the president of Tom Nowatzke Transport Equipment, Inc. and a partner of Transportation Logistics, LLC.

In addition to his professional career, Mr. Nowatzke celebrates a storied career with the National Football League, having been drafted by Detroit Lions and New York Jets before signing with the Detroit Lions in 1965 as a running back. He played five years with the Lions and two years with Baltimore Colts before retiring at end of the 1972 season. Moreover, he is proud to have been recognized as the leading rusher in Super Bowl V, in which he led the Colts to victory over the Dallas Cowboys. For his accomplishments, he was inducted into the Indiana University Hall of Fame in 1995, the State of Indiana Football Hall of Fame in 1986 and the National Polish-American Sports Hall of Fame in 2008.
