He has sold various items, including milk and gas out of his barn, and has completed home deliveries from his berry plant and milk processing plant. Since 1999, he has found success with Hide-A-Hose Inc., a retractable central vacuum system company. The company offers quiet, efficient, central vacuum power units with a life expectancy of more than 20 years. Mr. Drivstuen originally conceived of the Hide-A-Hose system after nearly tripping over the hose from his vacuum cleaner.
Born February 11, 1940, to Milton and Vivian Drivstuen, Mr. Drivstuen prepared for his career with his high school education. Through his professional experience, he has gained organizational skills, attention to detail, and leadership skills which have benefited him in his career pursuits. He has been married to his wife, Sharon, for more than 60 years, and is the proud father of three children: Rod, Rusty and Rhonda. He is also a proud grandfather and great-grandfather of numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In his free time, Mr. Drivstuen enjoys playing golf, and in the coming years, he plans to enjoy his eventual retirement, spending time with his wife and family.
