As the co-owner of Tiger Bend Outdoors LLC, Mr. McKinnie offers high quality, long lasting, affordable hunting equipment to his customers. He has held this position since 2016. Additionally, since 1995, he has been a lieutenant with the United Parish Sheriff’s Office. Mr. McKinnie also contributes his time to numerous civic organizations, serving as the chairman of the board of his local chamber of commerce from 2015 to 2017, a founder and member of the board of directors to the Legends of Outdoors National Hall of Fame, the president of the Union Parish Chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation since 2011, and the president of the Tiger Bend Hunting Club, among other organizations.
Mr. McKinnie is a guest outdoor writer for a local newspaper, and has been recognized for his professional successes with multiple awards and accolades over the years. In 2014, he received an award for Law Enforcement Public Servant of the Year from the United Parish Sheriff’s office, and in 2016 he was named Citizen of the Year by the local town council. Mr. McKinnie studied criminal justice at the University of Louisiana Monroe in 1995, and has been married to his wife Charissa since 1998. As the proud father of one daughter, Lexie, Mr. McKinnie looks forward to continued success in the years to come.
