Additionally, Mr. Phillips’ company has been the recipient of an International Home and Houseware Innovation Finalist Award in 2014. Mr. Phillips is a graduate of Luzerne County Community College and has completed a two-year electrical program. The proud father of his daughter Stephanie, who serves as the president of Upper Desk, he is also a loving grandfather to three grandchildren. Mr. Phillips attributes his success to his grandfather, Virgil Broan, who taught him to think through problems and create things in his workshop.
