After watching his father excel as an air conditioning technician with the United States Post Office in New Orleans, Mr. Lorentz chose to follow his example and learned the trade. Having learned most of what he knows from his father, he is also supported by collegiate studies from Pearl River College. In the early stages of his career, Mr. Lorentz worked for Demerans AC and Appliance between 1980 and 1990, where he learned how to repair appliances. He also worked for Dan Young for five years until 1995.
Presently, Mr. Lorentz excels as the owner of A Repair Service, which he spearheaded in 1995. For the past 25 years, he has specialized in air conditioning, heating and appliance repairs in his local area. Additionally, he handles the ordering of parts, scheduling appointments, making and receiving phone calls, and diagnosing issues and making repairs. Reflecting on his long career, Mr. Lorentz considers his greatest achievement to be maintaining his business for more than two decades. Attributing his success to his father, he hopes to continue making him proud by expanding the company and hiring more employees.
