Ms. Leonard is the expert behind TLC Marketing and Creative Services, a full-service marketing, branding, event planning and public relations firm based out of Bonita Springs, Florida, and serving clients around the world since 2009. She began her marketing career with McDonald’s and Adams & O’Reilly in 1983, spending more than a decade as the marketing and sales director for both the corporate and franchise divisions. In 1998, Ms. Leonard joined the Bonita Springs Area Chamber of Commerce, serving as their Membership Director until 2006. Ms. Leonard has continued to add to her knowledge of the industry by pursuing additional coursework and credentials, including completing certificates through the United States Chamber of Commerce Institute of Organizational Management in 2002 and 2005, Leadership Bonita courses, and earning a Kauffman Foundation Fast Trac Certificate.
Before launching TLC Marketing and Creative Services, Ms. Leonard spent two years with the Odle McGuire Shook Corporation as director of business development. Inspired by the big changes that she saw after the 2009 market crash, Ms. Leonard took the opportunity to reinvent herself by starting TLC. Her early clients included the Southwest Florida Speakers Assembly and the Florida Gulf Coast University Small Business Development Center, who retained her as their director of marketing and attitude through 2014. Since then, TLC Marketing and Creative Services has continued to grow, and was named Small Business of the Year in 2015 by the Estero Chamber of Commerce, in 2018 by the Bonita Springs Chamber of Commerce, and presented with a 2020 Best of Marketing & Event Planning Bonita Springs Award.
Ms. Leonard is well-known for her community outreach and charity work in addition to being a leader in the area business community. Currently, she serves as the president of the Bonita Springs Downtown Alliance, director of the Bonita Springs Short Film Festival, and co-chair of the Bonita Springs Historical Society Festival of Trees. She treasures her time as president of the Everglades Wonder Gardens, who made her the namesake of their Trish Leonard Welcome Center, a historic facility that she was instrumental in helping preserve from redevelopment. In addition, Ms. Leonard was named the 2011 Zonta Club of Bonita Springs Woman of the Year, and 2016 Citizen of the Year by both USA Today and the Naples Daily News, honors she considers among the greatest of her career. Ms. Leonard attributes her success to positivity and determination, and plans to continue her work for years to come, adding that anything is possible if you try.
