Title: Owner
Company: AW COMIX
Location: Saint Louis, Missouri, United States

Arthur Wiederhold, Owner of AW Comix, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Business Owners for dedication, achievements, and leadership in the field of comic book publishing.

Drawing on several decades of creativity and a myriad of professions, Mr. Wiederhold has distinguished himself as the owner of AW Comix since 2017, through which he serves as both a writer and illustrator. Likewise, he is the author of more than 35 novels occupying the fantasy, science fiction and historical fiction genres, including “Fort Nowhere, Vietnam,” “Powers Paranormal: Blood Lust,” “Hunter: Quebec,” “Realm of Blood,” “The Year of the Beast,” “Wild Flowers,” and “Wheels Within Wheels.” Ms. Wiederhold is also the co-creator of “Second Dawn,” a fantasy roleplaying game he designed alongside George J. Herget in 1988, who proved popular with American soldiers serving overseas.

In addition to his primary vocation as a creator, Mr. Wiederhold works for the United States Postal Service and has maintained involvement as a freelance reporter and photographer since 1970. During the course of the latter career, he served as a war correspondent during the Vietnam War and earned distinction as a specialist in the U.S. Army and a petty officer in the U.S. Navy during the 1980s.

Mr. Wiederhold initially became involved in his profession while attending high school, during which time his friends wrote and illustrated comics. Though the project did not amount to much at the time, he retained the original proofs for the comics and established AW Comix as a spiritual successor to this earlier endeavor. In accounting for his standout success, Ms. Wiederhold credits his upbringing in the slums of New York, where he learned the value of determination and tenacity.
