Drawing upon more than 50 years in the swimming pool industry, Mr. Esmond has served as the owner of Gulf Breeze Pools and Spas in Gulf Breeze, Florida, since 2010. Prior to establishing his well-regarded business, he served Pensacola Pools as a vice president for 25 years and Sylvan Pools for a period of time, having managed the construction of swimming pools domestically and abroad in England, Japan and the Middle East. Before introducing himself into business management, Mr. Esmond served in the United States Army, where he served one year in Vietnam during the Vietnam War. He was discharged in 1968.
Leveraging his vast array of knowledge and passion for helping others, Mr. Esmond is acclaimed in the Gulf Breeze community for his contributions to local families. In December 2020, he paid past due utility bills for more than 110 families. Considering his philanthropic deeds, the Planters Peanuts’ “A Nut Above” program awarded Mr. Esmond $104,000, which he utilized to pay off the utility bills of more than 600 additional families. Alongside this effort, he is well known in his neighborhood for his exemplary patriotism. During 1991, he placed American flags on the poles lining the three-mile Pensacola Bay Bridge and within Gulf Breeze during the Gulf War and after the terrorist attacks on September 11th. In light of his exceptional humanitarian efforts, the Pensacola chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution honored him with an award, and he was also named a “Difference Maker in the Pensacola Area” by The Studer Group LLC.
