Mr. Bartle is an entrepreneur and entertainer currently focusing on his work as the owner of Hysteria Sound DJ Service. As a high school student, Mr. Bartle became involved in journalism and local radio projects, and found his “radio voice” and love for communications with the support of several of his teachers. After graduating high school in 1988, he became an all-conference radio broadcaster and hosted a radio programming block, Bill & Jim in the Morning, before joining the Sullivan Independent News, rising to become editor and owner of the company over the course of the next three decades. As the owner of Hysteria Sound DJ Service, Mr. Bartle provides music and DJ services for special events and private parties throughout Missouri, with bookings more than 300 days a year. Previously, Hysteria Sound DJ Service has offered backup sound and sound mixing for live bands and televised events, including a long-term contract with Access TV to provide sound support for nationally-televised MMA matches.
In addition to running Hysteria Sound DJ Service, Mr. Bartle’s other entrepreneurial ventures have included Bartle Lawn Service, Bartle Snow Removal, and Bartle Cleaning. Between 1995 and 2000, Mr. Bartle was a volunteer firefighter for the Sullivan Fire Protection District, who named him an Honorary Firefighter in recognition of his service. He is active in the American Red Cross and the Sullivan Meramec Community Mission, is the president of the Meramec Community Fair and sits on the board of the Sullivan Chamber of Commerce, and has been named the Sullivan Man of the Year twice. Mr. Bartle describes his goal as to “continue what he’s doing for as long as he can keep doing it,” and looks forward to continuing to support his community for years to come.
