Earning a bachelor’s degree in vocational psychology from Kutztown University in Pennsylvania, Mr. Hardy got his start in politics while volunteering with the campaign for former Philadelphia Mayor John Franklin Street. The field director, Greg Naylor, took notice of Mr. Hardy and taught him the best strategies and methods for running campaigns. Since then, he has received certification in Wellstone campaign training, voter builder training, predicted dialing phone banking system training, responsible operable management protocol, and in various Microsoft Office programs.
The outreach director for the Pennsylvania Democratic Party for a number of years, Mr. Hardy has also been a political consultant with Monroe Press, Inc., of which he is also the chief executive officer and founder, since 2003. He has helped with national and international political campaigns, reaching as far as Brazil and South Africa. Later, in 2015, he open Lou & Choo Enterprises, Inc. a bar and restaurant lounge that also doubles as a political office meeting space. Over the course of his career, he has also served as the deputy director for the city of Philadelphia, the political director of the AFL-CIO in New Jersey, and as the chief of staff for Sen. Sharif Street.
Attributing much of his success to his discipline and his drive to win, Mr. Hardy was named Best of the Best in Politics by District 1199C of the National Union of Hospital and Health Care Employees in 2017. Earlier in his career, he had been recognized in Political Strategy Operations by The Pyramid Group in 2009 and with the Pennsylvania Keystone Political Award in 2004. Above these honors and accolades, Mr. Hardy considers being a good husband and father to be his most notable achievement. He feels that being able to protect and provide for his family has been the most noteworthy gift God has ever given him.
