Also in 1980, he was named an Outstanding Student by the National Society of Accountants and began his career as a staff accountant with Richard Buchanan CPA and an accounts receivable clerk with Schecter & Shelton, Attorneys at Law. Realizing that he had excelled in work with a wide variety of businesses in a short amount of time, Mr. Shariatzadeh decided to start this own business to help professionals with their financial needs. The owner and president of Vahid Shariatzadeh LLP since 1984, his business encompasses real estate, accounting, tax work, financial planning and retirement planning, and he also provides various services to doctors and lawyers. When he isn’t working directly with a client, Mr. Shariatzadeh is responsible for reviewing the business processes and transaction done by his staff as well as general company oversight. In his more than three decades with his firm, he has sought out further certifications in order to better serve his clients, becoming a chartered global management accountant and achieving Series 6 and 63 security licenses along with a health and variable life insurance product license.

Furthermore, Mr. Shariatzadeh is a managing partner with seven different real estate companies, the owner and manager of the Medical Professional Building and has owned and operated a number of franchised restaurants over the years. In order to keep abreast of developments in his field, he remains active with a number of professional organizations, including the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants, the Texas Association of Financial and Tax Specialists, and the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc. Intending to slow down his practice in the coming years, Mr. Shariatzadeh hopes to continue guiding and mentoring the coming generations of certified public accountants. To that end, he is currently a member of the parent leadership board for both the Awty International School and Emory University and provides financial aide to those who are struggling with the costs of their degrees in accounting.

Throughout his career, Mr. Shariatzadeh has been motivated by his son, Nima, who he has been very close to since his birth. Nima majored in chemistry and graduated from Emory University with high honors before going on to seek admission to medical school. Having accomplished much over the course of his career, Mr. Shariatzadeh considers his most notable achievement to be gaining the trust of his clients. He notes that it is a significant achievement to reach a point in a professional relationship where people trust him enough to allow him to manage their business.
