Rachelle Croft, Owner of X Elles Racing, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Business Owners for dedication, achievements, and leadership in auto sports and racing.
Ms. Croft is an off-road racing champion and the owner of X Elles Racing, a women’s racing team and promotion that hosts and competes in dead reckoning and off-road rallies around the United States and the world. A longtime entrepreneur, Ms. Croft started her business journey as the owner of Hiline Productions, LLC, in 2004, and expanded her portfolio to include X Elles Racing in 2011 and Expedition Overland in 2013. Prior to beginning her racing career, Ms. Croft studied health and physical education at the University of Montana, transferring to Montana State University-Bozeman in 2003.
A natural adventurer and self-described “truck girl” with a love for motorsports and the outdoors, Ms. Croft developed an interest in off-road racing after learning about a women-only rally in Morocco known as one of the hardest events in the world. After deciding that she “needed to be in this,” Ms. Croft began training with Emily Miller, the creator of the Rebelle Rally event, and learned to drive in sand dunes, extreme weather conditions, and navigate without GPS equipment. Ms. Croft has gone on to participate in the event, the Rallye Aicha Des Gazelles, three times, and credits the experience as “life-changing.”
In addition to driving in international off-road rallies, Ms. Croft has participated in the Rebelle Rally three times, setting a record by winning the 2019 event in a stock Lexus 460. She looks forward to continuing to expand her skills as a driver and leader in the coming years, and credits her success to her tenacity and willingness to pursue her goals, “even if they sound crazy or impossible.” As a survivor of childhood sexual abuse, Ms. Croft found healing and purpose in racing and is proud to use her platform to connect with other survivors and increase awareness of women’s mental health support services. Outside her work in the auto racing world, Ms. Croft is a partner with Boys Today and several sexual assault awareness education charities.
