Bob Oedy, Owner of Union Organizer Press, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Business Owners for dedication, achievements, and leadership in union leadership.

Mr. Oedy’s interest in labor unions motivated him to return to go back to school to become a recruiter for the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) union, which now has more than 750,000 members. With his vast knowledge of how unions work and their importance, he has written several books about the process and how to ensure employees receive the rights and treatment they deserve. Furthermore, Mr. Oedy has served as an international lead organizer for IBEW since 2011 and worked as an electrician, journeyman, and foreman with the Local 11 of IBEW from 1988 to 2001.

Mr. Oedy first prepared for his career by earning an Associate of Science in electronics from Pierce College in 1984. He later received a Bachelor of Arts in labor studies from the National Labor College. Throughout his career, he has published several books, including “The Million Dollar Organizer: 365 Tips for Professional Union Organizers” in 2019, “The Punk Rock Las Vegas Survival Guide: Beer, Bowling and Debauchery Las Vegas Style” in 2014, “The Green Career Ladder: A Step-by-Step Guide to Profitable Careers in Sustainable Energy” in 2013 and “Bigger Labor: A Crash Course for Construction Union Organizers” in 2012. During the Covid-19 pandemic, he has been writing his next book. Recently, Mr. Oedy released an online training course called “Get Hired as a Union Organizer.”
