Edward Gibbs, Owner at E. Gibbs and Associates, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Business Owners for dedication, achievements, and leadership in advertising.
Mr. Gibbs has prospered for more than five decades as an advertising executive specializing in marketing, advertising, sales and business management operations. His areas of expertise include market strategies and analyses, team building and leadership, new business development, and project governance. Mr. Gibbs has launched unique marketing solutions transforming unknowns into leaders and resuscitated mature marques and is skilled as a logo fabricator, naming specialist and creative marketing, public relations and brand pundit in many categories. He has expertise in brand management and product launching and is renowned as a radio and TV advertising designer/director/writer and on-air personality.
Since 2003, Mr. Gibbs has served as executive vice president of marketing with Into Great Brands Inc., where he led the successful launch of MotorKote and Classic Shell X-100 Motor Oil in North America for classic and collectible cars. He cultivated MotorKote, a noted automotive product, into a worldwide leader available on 18,000 shelves worldwide and a weekly radio audience. In what he considers a career highlight, for nearly two decades he represented the company as “Mr. MotorKote,” appearing on seven national radio programs that reached up to five million listeners monthly. Mr. Gibbs developed all brand literature including packaging, photography, infomercials, trade shows, booths and other media. In addition, he hosted live television product sales and launches and designed booth designs and displays including unique in-person onsite testing tools to prove the efficacy of the product to viewers. Mr. Gibbs has also prospered as a graphic artist, launching E. Gibbs and Associates to distribute his custom-made art seasonal prints distributed on the 4th of July and Christmas, estimating that over 18,000 of his works have been produced.
Prior to embarking upon his professional journey, Mr. Gibbs attended the Columbus College of Art and Design and subsequently earned a Bachelor of Science in advertising design from The University of Cincinnati in Ohio. Following this accomplishment, he obtained a Master of Arts in advertising at Syracuse University in New York, with a minor in broadcasting, from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications.
Mr. Gibbs attributes his success to his passion to seek out and find unique answers. In the coming years, he would like to revive his print business and possibly get some of his paintings published.
