Sandi Barrett, Owner at All American Gymnastic, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Business Owners for dedication, achievements, and leadership in gymnastics coaching and entrepreneurship.
Ms. Barrett has excelled as a gymnastics coach for over three decades, most notably with Chicopee Comprehensive High School in Massachusetts, where she was named Gymnastics Coach of the Year in 2019 by Massachusetts’ statewide digital media site Masslive after the Chicopee Colts finished third at the Western Massachusetts Championships behind eight-time reigning champion Westfield and runner-up Minnechaug. In addition, she has prospered as a rated judge by United States of America Gymnastics, the national governing body for gymnastics in the United States.
In 2021, Ms. Barrett became the co-owner of and coach with the All American Gymnastics and Dance Academy in Wilbraham, a premier facility teaching gymnastics, dance, parkour, cheerleading, martial arts, hockey, figure skating and other sports. Her areas of expertise are working with children, building self-esteem and confidence, gymnastics, supervising, mentoring, and organizational skills.
Ms. Barrett obtained a Bachelor of Arts in liberal arts from Holyoke Community College, Massachusetts in 1981. Besides her success in teaching gymnastics, she has provided excellent service as an intake coordinator from 1999 to 2014 for Shriners Hospital for Children, Springfield, as a distributor for skincare and wellness company NuCerity, Inc. from 2013 to the present and as an accounts receivable specialist for Baystate Medical Center in Springfield from 2015 to the present.
Ms. Barrett attributes her success to her family and friends who continually gave their support. She was inspired to enter her profession by her mother, who was a nationally-rated gymnastics official. It led to her taking classes in gymnastics at a young age which naturally grew to become her passion. As a career highlight, Ms. Barrett cites being able to build her students’ self-esteem while allowing them to have fun. In the coming years, her goal is to grow her business and expand it to other locations.
