Since 1975, Mr. Wier has prospered as the owner and president of Wier Furniture, a premier retail business in Lewistown and Central Montana’s largest and most complete showroom of fine furniture for all budgets and also features an interior decorator in-store available to help clients’ specific decorating needs. He had earlier excelled as an assistant administrator with Lewistown Hospital from 1971 to 1973 and the vice president of the town’s First National Bank from 1973 to 1975.
Mr. Wier obtained a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Montana in 1971. After flourishing as an executive, he co-owned four businesses in Montana including one in Helena, another in Great Falls and two in Lewistown. Deeply involved with his community, he is affiliated with the Lewistown Youth Baseball/Softball Association and the Lewistown Redbirds Baseball Team. Mr. Wier is also active as the vice chairman of the executive committee of the Central Montana Hospital Board and contributes to the Central Montana Advisory Board, the Athletic Committee of the Central Montana Community, University of Montana Scholarship Association and the Athletic Department of the University of Montana.
Mr. Wier attributes the success of Wier Furniture to the fact that it is locally owned, giving it a great advantage in the industry. He attributes his success to his humility and his dedication to his goal to make Central Montana a very successful community. Mr. Wier considers his most notable achievement to have been his contributions to the university, the local hospital and medical field and the Lewistown Youth Baseball/Softball Association.
