Mr. White obtained a Bachelor of Arts in visual communications and mass media from Florida State University in 1984. He began his career in broadcast entertainment in Atlanta at Video Tape Associates, where he produced live segments for ABC’s “Home Show” and Fox’s “A Current Affair.” In 1992 he moved to Turner Broadcasting Systems, where he was responsible for TBS Superstation’s On-Air promo shoots and all areas of post-production. He was especially involved in the network’s James Bond movie campaigns, assisting in the then-novel television/web simulcast promotion involving the “Crack the Code” sweepstakes. In addition, Mr. White participated in the team that created the popular “Dinner and a Movie” series.
Mr. White founded Firefly Creative Entertainment Group Inc. in 2001. In his present post, he helms an integrated marketing communications company and the production company hired to produce and execute FX Networks first original movie trailers “A Glimpse of Hell,” “Sins of the Father,” and “Pentagon Papers” as well as the promos for FX original series such as “The Shield,” “Nip/Tuck,” “Rescue Me,” “Dirt,” “The Riches” and “Damages.” Mr. White oversees the company’s brand strategy, consumer and trade marketing, on-air promotions and creative services and is in charge of creative development, integrating various types of programming, advertising and digital content.
What Mr. White enjoys the most in his profession is being able to contribute to the success of his clients by accomplishing new creative and production goals at the highest level. He also takes pride in elevating the industry by expanding his horizon and finding the best behind-the-scenes talent. Mr. White believes that his work is a major reason why FX Networks rose to become one of the biggest networks in the industry today.
