Following obtaining a Bachelor of Science in early childhood education from East Central University in Ada, Oklahoma in 1992, Ms. Stephens provided superior service as an elementary school teacher for 17 years and spent four years as a teacher, coach, lifeguard, reading specialist and afterschool program director with the Inuit in Alaska.
In 2011, Ms. Stephens opened Nothing Bundt Cakes with her business partners, and opened a second location in 2014, growing them to a 22 million dollar business with 70 employees due to her vision and dedication to the brand. In addition to running two successful businesses, she has been highlighted and recognized multiple times in and around Oklahoma for her successes and entrepreneurial skills. In 2021, she stepped back from day-to-day full-time operations to serve as principal consultant and owner of Dare to Develop Consulting, speaking on numerous topics to include entrepreneurship, leadership, employee engagement and organizational culture. Ms. Stephens has accrued honors that include an A-List Leadership Award; Impact Partnership Award, Youth For Christ; and Nothing Bundt Cakes was a Bakery of the Year Nominee in 2016.
Ms. Stephens’ goals in the coming years include writing a memoir, and she is hoping for continued success with Nothing Bundt Cakes and with her consultancy. She would like to be thought of as someone who is genuine, caring and always has her customers’ best interest at heart.
