Since 1990, Mr. Straub has flourished as president of Aquatic Consultants, Inc., a firm specializing in pool and spa inspections including evaluation and assessment, surveys, pool design and safety. To accompany his vast expertise, he is certified as a pool and spa operator by the National Swimming Pool Foundation. In the coming years, Mr. Straub hopes to participate and attend more pool conventions and meetings to help him grow professionally such as the annual International Pool Convention in Dallas. He also wants to establish a small group of perpetual pool consultants.

Mr. Straub’s professional associations include Heartland Mediators Association, of which he offered dispute resolution through mediation as a former president. In addition, he provided superior service as past director of the National Spa and Pool Institute, Central States Chapter, as a past president of the Kansas chapter of the American Concrete Institute, past chairman for the Swimming Pool Committee/A.C.I and past director of the Master Pools Guild. As an avid rugby player, he was also a member of the Kansas City Rugby Football Club.

Mr. Straub and his brother have built granite swimming pools in Kansas City for more than two decades. After his brother passed away, he decided to start a consultancy that would oversee pool installations. He prides himself on being able to provide his services independently to anyone who requires pool inspection services and in addition, he hopes to show his clients the right and best way to operate and maintain their pools. In addition, he invented a depth marking system for swimming pools for three to five feet 30 years ago, a totally unique method of indexing and indicating the depth around swimming pools.
