For the past 34 years, Mr. Taliercio has excelled in owning and operating Taliercio’s Gourmet Deli in Red Bank, New Jersey. His responsibilities include managing the front of the deli, dealing with the customers, overseeing day-to-day operations and running the billing and the ordering. From watching the inner workings of the family business since his youth, Mr. Taliercio knew his future remained within the restaurant industry.
A staple in their local community, Taliercio’s Gourmet Deli was recently named “third in the state to cater deli” by nj.com. Backed by a bachelor’s degree in communications from Monmouth University, Mr. Taliercio has found his degree to be very useful in his career as an entrepreneur. A devoted member of his community, he is active with the Knights of Columbus and hosts a holiday fundraiser each year for the Rutgers Cancer Institute. In his spare time, Mr. Taliercio enjoys spending time with his family and watching the Rangers with his father.
Reflecting on the trajectory of his business, Mr. Taliercio considers its greatest accomplishment to be surviving throughout the Covid-19 pandemic. He finds the fact that the business survived without having to sacrifice any of their employees has been a huge achievement. Aware that there will always be ups and downs in business ownership, Mr. Taliercio looks forward to maintaining and expanding the business for many years to come.
