Company: D. Nalley’s Diner
Location: Louisville, Kentucky, United States
Gibin George, Owner at D. Nalley’s Diner, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Business Owners for dedication, achievements, and leadership in restaurant management.
Since 2017, Mr. George has prospered as owner and operator of the D. Nalley’s Diner in Louisville, an “old school” diner serving breakfast all day, sandwiches, local dishes, and different forms of freshly made Indian, Chinese, Middle Eastern and American appetizers as specials. He had previously prospered as co-owner of the Twig & Leaf Diner, also in Louisville, from 2015 to 2017.
After immigrating to the United States from India in 2007, Mr. George earned a Bachelor of Business Administration and Management in 2012 and a Master of Business Administration and Management in 2015 from the University of Louisville. While attending university, he provided exemplary services as a part-time supervisor with United Parcel Service (UPS). Since 2012, he has served as vice president of business strategy for Louisville freight service Road Runners Incorporated.
When a friend introduced him to the son of the original owners of D.Nalley’s Diner, he loved the nostalgia of diners and realized the potential in the diner despite its being in poor condition. He decided to train with the owners and eventually run the business for three years and he was able to improve the restaurant’s performance, and he was able to later purchase the establishment.
In the coming years, Mr. George sees himself growing the diner. He also recently took over a FedEx warehouse and he hopes to grow his logistics business.
