Charles Wolfe, Generator Specialist at General Electric, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Business Owners for dedication, achievements, and leadership in engineering.
As a generator specialist with FieldCore, a division of General Electric, Mr. Wolfe troubleshoots, diagnoses and repairs electrical and mechanical failures with generators, transfer switches and equipment related to stormwater and sewage pumping stations replaces mechanical and oil seals and air compressors; inspects valves, injection pumps, injectors and related components.
After initially obtaining an associate’s degree in engineering science in 1998 from College of Lake County in Illinois, Mr. Wolfe followed with a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering with a minor in mathematics in 2000 from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. He later continued his education with a master’s degree in engineering in 2012 from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and is currently studying for a master’s degree in physics at the Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore.
Mr. Wolfe was inspired to enter his profession when, as a 5-year-old growing up in Illinois, he begged her mother to drive him past the local nuclear powerplant since he wanted to look at it and imagine what was inside of that place. He finally got a tour when he was in 4th grade at age 10 and knew he wanted to work with electrical power generation. He followed that passion through his life and made it his life’s purpose.
Mr. Wolfe would like to be remembered as an adventurer, a maverick, fearless, a person who followed his passions, was never deterred by his fears, and went after help wherever it was needed. In the near future, he intends to continue working with FieldCore and is hoping to transfer to Germany to join his girlfriend.
