Nancy Alejandrez, Owner at East Houston Medicine and Kidz Can 2, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Business Owners for dedication, achievements, and leadership in childcare.
Since 1988, Ms. Alejandrez has owned and operated Kidz Can 2, a child development center in Fresno that offers a fun and safe learning environment for children 2 to 12 years of age, with preschool, supportive service and nutrition programs overseen by a safety certified staff.
Ms. Alejandrez attributes her success to God and to the experiences that she has gone through as she was growing up. Both her parents were tragically murdered, and her aunt brought up Ms. Alejandrez and her siblings Amy, Cathy, Diana and Frank. She entered into a welfare program when she was a single mother and pregnant with her fourth child and went into public assistance. She started her journey in childcare with a 50 dollar voucher and did in-home daycare for 10 years prior to founding KIdz Can 2.
Ms. Alejandrez considers her key to success her belief that God has called her to be a child care provider in order for her to do what she is supposed to do as a Christian. In the coming years, her ambition is to open a second childcare center in Fresno.
