Amy Schirtzinger, Co-Owner at McClellan’s Pub, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Business Owners for dedication, achievements, and leadership in hospitality management.
Since 2014, Ms. Schirtzinger has prospered as co-owner of McClellan’s Pub, a premier venue offering one of the largest whiskey/bourbon selections in Columbus with an expanding inventory of 550 bottles, in addition to a selection of more than 50 draft beers. The tavern additionally prides itself as a home base for Ohio fans of the Premier League Liverpool F.C., showing all its matches live whenever they are played. McClellan’s has survived and thrived despite the COVID-19 pandemic and supply chain issues that followed.
With a staff of 11, Ms. Schirtzinger oversees most of the operations with McClellan’s including ordering and preparing food and liquor, training and management as well as cleanup and janitorial. She has taken the greatest pride in guiding McClellan’s to its current position as a popular and respected tavern as her original background is in art and design, having obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2004 from the Columbus College of Arts and Design. Without a great deal of food preparation experience, she taught herself and reached out to other chefs in her field to gain cooking skills.
In the near future, Ms. Schirtzinger would like to open a second location and is helping to initiate a Women in Bourbon organization to promote entrepreneurship in the hospitality field. Already, she excels as a lead organizer for Stand With Ohio Hospitality and Whiskey Women of Central Ohio.
