Following years of providing superior customer service, shelving and restaurant supervision with national brands such as Walmart, Hardee’s and Roy Rogers, in 2021 Ms. Ferguson opened The Soup Place in Moorestown, a premier food shop offering soups, salads, sandwiches and a breakfast menu, where she cooks, makes breakfasts and sandwiches, and replenishes stock and shelves as the shop opens in the morning.
Ms. Ferguson attributes The Soup Place’s success to word of mouth. The shop has many people coming in that are impressed by the soup and tell others about it. She considers working for herself as an entrepreneur to be her career highlight. In the coming years, Ms. Ferguson would like to have a brick and mortar building as at present The Soup Place is in a small in the Virtua Samson Cancer Center in Moorestown. Additionally, she intends to acquire a food truck once she has a brick and mortar building. Moreover, Ms. Ferguson plans to open a second location for her business.
