After initially obtaining a Bachelor of Arts in business administration from Clark Atlanta University in 2005, Dr. Tolliver subsequently obtained a master’s degree in education administration from Strayer University in Washington in 2009 and an associate of arts in early childhood education from Chattahoochee Technical College in Georgia in 2010. Following pre-nursing studies at Georgia State University in Atlanta from 2013 to 2014, Dr. Tolliver earned a Doctor of Philosophy in educational leadership and administration from the University of Phoenix in 2020. Dr. Tolliver has provided superior service as a certified nursing assistant with WellStar Health System from 2014 to 2016, teacher at La Petite Academy from 2016 to 2017 and from 2018 to the present as an adult outreach assistant with University City Public Library.
In 2018, Dr. Tolliver founded Patchwork Theory Publishing, LLC, for the purposes of self-publishing her works housed in varying genres both for herself, her young children and other aspiring writers. As a motivational speaker, an educator, a certified life coach, her publications run the gamut from fiction, nonfiction, health and fitness, politics and activism to music, poetry and children’s books. One of Dr. Tolliver’s publications, “3 Simple Words: Solving Life’s Greatest Problems in Three Words or Less,” compartmentalizes how people talk to themselves and others using words of wisdom, relevant scenarios, and real life situations to make the information easy to read and relatable on a personal level. Attributing her success to her string faith, Dr. Tolliver’s goals are to take her public speaking internationally and would like all 13 books on her website to be nationally published.
