Sean Jerome Ade, Owner of Roosevelt’s Terrariums, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Business Owners for dedication, achievements, and leadership in entrepreneurship.
In preparation for his career as a business owner, Mr. Ade attended Avon High School, earning his diploma in 2012. He pursued his higher education at Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, earning a Bachelor of Business Administration in business management and personnel administration from the university’s Fox School of Business in 2016. Since 2020, Mr. Ade has been the owner of Roosevelt’s Terrariums, a store that celebrates, spreads, and sustains the hobby of planting and maintaining terrariums. The store gets its name from the original owner, Gregg Harris, who was a Teddy Roosevelt impersonator and longtime terrarium enthusiast. Mr. Ade purchased the business and has continued its legacy as a unique storefront and educational resource for terrarium hobbyists.
Prior to his ownership of Roosevelt’s Terrariums, Mr. Ade garnered experience as a bag room assistant with the Golf Club of Avon from 2010 to 2012, a campus recreation facility monitor with Temple University from 2014 to 2016, and a summer intern with Phelan Hallinan Diamond and Jones LLP in 2015. He additionally worked as a management trainee with Enterprise Holdings Inc. in 2016, an inside sales account executive with Alphabroder from 2016 to 2018, and an outside sales account manager with the same company from 2018 to 2020. Mr. Ade is also a real estate investor and has received multiple awards, including Inside Sales Rep of the Year in 2017. Roosevelt’s Terrariums has been a nominee for Top Nursey/Garden Center and was featured in a New York Times article titled “Terrariums Are One Thing You Can Control.”
Mr. Ade maintains membership with Business Network International and Toastmasters International. He considers his ownership and management of Roosevelt’s Terrariums at age 26 his greatest accomplishment to date and believes in the importance of improving himself every day in pursuit of his goals. In the coming years, Mr. Ade hopes to open up to 20 more branches of Roosevelt’s Terrariums, both locally and nationally, and franchise the business. He would also like to travel the world, experience new cultures, learn new languages, and meet new people.
