With over 20 years of experience to her credit, Ms. Hilderbrand is a proven leader in the field of children’s education. In 2015, she became the owner of First Steps Early Learning Center in Rainbow City, Alabama, having originally joined the organization in 2000. In addition to overseeing all daily operations of the institution, Ms. Hilderbrand continues to serve as a teacher and preschool director. First Steps has been honored with the Small Business of the Year Voters Choice Award, the Small Business of the Year Community Improvement Award, and the Rainbow City Award.
Prior to embarking on her vocational journey, Ms. Hilderbrand cultivated her own education, earning an associate’s degree in early child care at Gadsden State Community College. As part of her dedication to her professional endeavors, she also remains affiliated with her local chapter of the United States Chamber of Commerce. Adjacent to her primary duties as an educator, she also regularly volunteers with United Way. Attributing much of her success to the support of her community, Ms. Hilderbrand hopes to expand the First Steps Early Learning Center in the coming years to accommodate up to 150 children.
