In preparation for his career, Mr. Hicks attended Florida State University and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in entrepreneurship, cum laude. He completed his higher education at Mississippi State University, earning a Master of Science in geology and geoscience, summa cum laude. Alongside his formal degrees, he holds an Airline Transport Pilot Certification. Mr. Hicks is further a Certified Flight Instructor – Instrument, a Multi-Engine Instructor, and a Certified Personal Trainer.

Mr. Hicks currently excels as a Cirrus Jet Instructor Pilot and Check Airman with Cirrus Aircraft. In this position, he employs his expertise in instruction, training clients on flight equipment and testing their knowledge following the completion of their training. Prior to this position, Mr. Hicks served as an adjunct professor of geology and meteorology with Central Texas College for two years and an adjunct professor of meteorology with Christian Brothers in Memphis for two years. He also garnered experience as an airline flight instructor, a pilot in the United States Navy for eight years, and a combat engineer reservist in the United States Army for two years. Mr. Hicks attributes his success to sticking to his goals and persevering through frustration.

Among his career accomplishments, Mr. Hicks considers serving as a pilot for the United States Navy and obtaining his master’s degree to be his professional highlights. He became involved in aviation because of the Apollo missions, which sparked his interest in the space program and aviation. As a personal trainer, he entered the fitness industry because he realized maintaining his body as he grows older requires much more effort. In the coming years, Mr. Hicks hopes to continue in his current position and become a better businessman.
