Mr. Petersen previously operated as the president of Petersen Design Studio Inc., his own high-end residential design firm, from 2006 to 2012, and he originally began his career working with Sheeley Architects Inc. from 2000 to 2012, beginning as an associate and later assuming the role of senior associate.
Before beginning his vocational journey, Mr. Petersen earned his building construction specialization from Edison State Community College in 2001. To commemorate his accomplishments in the field, his business was named Architectural Firm of the Year by the Lee Building Industry Association and the American Institute of Building Design from 2015 to 2018. The organizations, which Mr. Petersen remains professionally affiliated with, also recognized him and his company for the Best Commercial Project in 2017 and 2018 and for the Best Multi-Family Project in 2016 and 2017. Attributing much of his work to his hardworking attitude and sharp focus, Mr. Petersen is notably proud to have founded his own business, which he hopes to continue expanding throughout the state of Florida in the coming years.
